What started as a student job at a local flower shop back in 2013 turned into a lifelong obsession. I spent four years mastering floral design before opening my own business, The Urban Blooms, in 2017. Nine years later, I’m still doing what I love.

From tiny boutonnieres to "wow" venue installations, I specialize in fresh, stunning event florals. Running a home-based studio means you get all the luxury vibes at thoughtful prices (minus the storefront overhead). While I have a full-time "day job," flowers are my true happy place. My family has been my backbone since day one, including my mom, dad, husband & younger brother who are officially my favorite weekend employees.

I love almost every flower that exists, with chamomile and peonies winning the popularity contest in my heart. Howeverrrr… we need to talk about red roses. After processing what felt like ten million of them "back in the day," at the flower shop I’ve officially reached my lifetime quota!! Consider us on a permanent break! Haha

I’m someone who thrives in the wild and wilts behind a desk. I pushed through my undergrad years mostly dreading the essays and craving the outdoors. Today, I live for anything hands on and natural. My home is a sanctuary shared with a decent collection of houseplants, two beloved pets (with plans for even more if I ever get the acreage), and a new mirrorless camera I'm currently teaching myself to master.

Fun facts: My absolute favorite travel spot is Scotland (highly, highly recommend), and if it’s summertime in Canada, I am physically incapable of staying inside because I need to make the most of the sunshine!
